Between Google, Hello Kitty, and I

How lucky I am. Last Saturday (February 15th) was a memorable day. As the part of KEB (Kumpulan Emak Blogger), the women blogger community, I got the chance to visit Google Indonesia Office at Central Senayan II Building, Jakarta.

But there was something that made me a lil bit afraid, the dress code. White, sound so simple. But as much as know, I dont have clothes with that colour. Yeah, except some mini dress with cartoon character printed on the front or back side.

I used to wear those mini dress at home and it makes me look so sexy 😆 – or when I go traveling, I matched it with inner for top, and skinny jeans, I also never forget my beloved aoutdoor sandals and backpack.

Frankly, at first I’m not sure to dress up like that for joining KEB to visit Google Indonesia Office. I wasn’t confident. How if other bloggers are beautiful with their shinny blouse or t-shirt, stylish hijab, branded hand bag, and high heels. While I’m with backpacker style. Oh no!

But unfortunatelly, I dont have any choice. I have no money to buy some new one, and not enough time to borrow from friends. So, I throw away the shame, and desperate to go with a cute hello kitty mini dress.

It about 20 bloggers mom joined this even, and I has never met them before. I just know them in the virtual world for a years. So, beside that cool google office, meet up with the wonderful bloggers is also the reason why I must join.

I was surprised when arrived at the location and got this greeting.

“Hi! You must be Noe, the travelers!”

Then while I was busy to guess and remember who was huging and greeting me, I wonder, they know me so well?

And finally I realized, it’s better to be ourselves, as we have already known and accepted by many people. No need acting or posing. Because everyone are unique with their own style, and it’s my style, noe style.

Let the world know you as you are, not as you think you should be, because sooner or later, if you are posing, you will forget the pose, and then where are you? ~ Fanny Brice
